Our workshops are designed for curious kids, and we believe children learn best by touching, exploring and creating. Every session is hands-on, sensory-rich and carefully structured around the 7 Areas of Learning, but delivered in a way that feels like pure fun to the children.

How it works
Every session is fully tailored to your class and your current topic. We arrive with all materials, tools and protective equipment ready to go. Children work at their own pace in a supported, playful environment. Every child leaves with something they made themselves, and that pride on their face is worth everything.

Sessions can be:

• Half day: one or two craft activities, perfect for a special themed day
• Full day: a full creative enrichment day with multiple makes
• Enrichment week: we work across your whole school over several days
• One-off special events: World Book Day, Science Week, cultural celebrations and more
  
  

KS1 Craft Workshops
All activities can be adapted to your current topic, season or theme. This is not a fixed menu, it is a starting point.

The great fire of London
Collage cityscape: Children create a London skyline using torn paper in oranges, reds and blacks to represent the Fire Wax resist fire pictures: Draw buildings in wax crayon, then paint over in red and orange watercolour, the flames appear like magic
Printing Tudor buildings: Lino or sponge print black and white Tudor house patterns
Clay fire plaques: Like the original fire marks used to identify buildings, children make their own clay plaque with their house number or symbol pressed in
Marbling: Red, orange and yellow inks marbled on water to create fire effect paper, used as backgrounds or book covers

Castles and knights
Clay castle relief tiles: Pressing castle battlements, shields and swords into clay Heraldic shield
Lino printing: Design and print your own family coat of arms
Weaving a banner: Simple loom weaving in chosen colours to make a heraldic banner
Mosaic: Roman and medieval mosaic style using paper squares to create shield or castle designs
Salt dough castle models: Hand-built miniature castle features
Papier-mâché helmet or shield: Build and paint a knight's helmet or shield
Fabric painting: Paint your own heraldic symbol onto a fabric pennant

Seaside past and present
Pebble painting: Paint seaside scenes, creatures or patterns onto smooth pebbles
Sand art: Layered coloured sand in small jars or bottles
Shell printing: Press shells into clay or ink them and print
Nature collage: Using shells, sand, driftwood, and rope to create seaside scenes
Watercolour seascapes: Simple wet on wet watercolour technique for sea and sky
Lino printing: Crabs, fish, waves, lighthouse designs
Marbling: Blue and green inks marbled to create a sea effect paper

Toys old and new
Junk modelling: Design and build your own toy from reclaimed materials
Puppet making: Sock puppets, paper bag puppets, simple string puppets
Spinning tops: Decorate and make a simple spinning top from card templates
Paper windmills: Fold, cut and assemble a working windmill
Papier-mâché: Build and paint a simple toy animal or figure
Simple sewing: Felt hand puppet with basic stitching
Pinwheel making: Design and assemble a working pinwheel

Animal and habitats
Clay animal sculptures: Hand-built animals with texture pressed in for fur, scales, feathers
Lino printing: Animal print patterns, paw prints, endangered species
Watercolour animal portraits: Simple wet on wet technique
Leaf print animals: Use leaf shapes to build up animal bodies and textures
Collage habitats: Build a rainforest, ocean, arctic or woodland scene in collage
Stone painting: Paint an animal on a stone, and create a habitat scene with multiple stones
Felt making: Simple needle or wet felting to make small animal shapes
Nature printing: Press feathers, leaves and bark to create habitat textures

Season and weather
Wax crayon shaving art: Warm autumn colours for fallen leaves, cool blues for winter
Nature collage: Seasonal materials collected outside
Leaf printing: Autumn leaves in warm colours, spring blossom in pinks and whites
Watercolour resist: Snowflake designs in wax crayon revealed with blue watercolour wash
Tie dye: Sunny summer colours or stormy grey and blue combinations

Lino printing: Print the characters or a repeating pattern from the story
